Magstand is a portable magnetic laptop support made from two independent folding steel brackets. It creates a practical temporary workspace on suitable steel surfaces—without drilling, clamps or permanent modification.

Engineers often work beside control panels, plant equipment and steel enclosures with nowhere safe or convenient to place a laptop, tablet, meter or diagnostic tool. Magstand turns suitable existing steelwork into a temporary support system that can be positioned around the job.

Always assess the mounting surface and working environment first. Magstand should only be used when both brackets are securely attached and the equipment can rest safely across them.
Choose the surface
Find a clean, suitable magnetic steel surface close to the equipment you are working on.
Open and attach
Open each bracket and firmly position the magnetic base against the steel.
Set the width
Position the second bracket so the equipment is supported evenly and securely.
Check before use
Test stability, confirm the hinges are locked and only then place equipment across the pair.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Before using Magstand.
Will Magstand attach to any metal?
No. It requires a suitable ferromagnetic steel surface. It will not attach securely to aluminium, many grades of stainless steel or non-metallic surfaces.
Is the 14 kg rating for one bracket?
No. The stated maximum vertical load is 14 kg for the pair combined and depends on the specified mounting and load conditions.
How do I remove the brackets?
Remove all supported equipment first. Hold the front of the bracket, tilt it sideways to break the magnetic contact, then lift it away. Press the locking button before folding it closed.
Can I use it inside a live electrical panel?
Only work within your organisation’s safe system of work and electrical safety procedures. Assess exposed conductors, clearances, falling-object risk and the suitability of the mounting surface before introducing any tool or support.
What is included with an order?
One order contains one Magstand workstation: a pair of two independent magnetic folding brackets. The laptop and equipment shown are not included.
